24x7 helpline launched for pancreatic disorders

GEM, a gastroenterology, laparoscopic and robotic surgery hospital, inaugurated a 24x7 helpline for persons with pancreatic disorders. It will offer medical advice to those experiencing symptoms related to pancreatic diseases. The hospital is also conducting an awareness camp in December to identify early symptoms of pancreatic disorders. Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman and Founder, GEM Hospitals said, "Symptoms such as abnormal weight loss, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, change in stool and new-onset diabetes shouldn't be neglected". The round-the-clock helpline number is 70920 51931
